Her Life

Cleopatra was born in 69 BC,in Alexandria. She is a queen of ancient Egypt from the Ptolemaic dynasty of Macedonian origin. She reigned over Egypt between 51 BC and 30 BC with her brothers and husbands Ptolemy XIII and Ptolemy XIV, then alongside the Roman general Mark Antony. She is famous for her relationship with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony with whom she had several children. Cleopatra is and was a legend. She was one of the most popular women of the Antiquity. Her death is not clear. Some historians says she killed herself after Mark Antony did kill hiself, believing that she killed herself.

HER SECRET'S BEAUTY

It is very known that Cleopatra used to use the donkey milk. She made bath with donkey milk only. It is a moisturizer, a toner, anti-aging and has many more virtues. She also used vinegar rinsing water, to boost the blood circulation and restore the pH of her skin. The Dead Sea salt was used as a scrub. She was using aloe vera gel, for her skin but also for her eyes. She loved also oils, like: black seed oil, almond oil, for her body; castor oil, sesame oil, for her face and against wrinkles. For her face, she used manuka honey as a mask for its anti-bacterial qualities, and rose water as a toner. 
For her hair, she was using realgar, (arsenic sulfide) and oak mistletoe as a lotion against the hair loss. Before applying it, she was cleaning the area with nitre (saltpeter or potassium nitrate). She had another recipe: 15 ml of linseed oil, 15 ml sesame oil, 6 drops of essential oil of cista ladaniferous, 6 drops of myrrh essential oil and 6 drops of essential oil of nard jatamansi. She was applying it before her shampoo, during 15 minutes. It was for make the hair toner. 
Her make up was the Egyptian trend: the khôl. It was first made of malachite, and was green. Then, they used lead to made it. It was not only aesthetical, but also medicinal.It protected eyes from sand and bacterial infections. To make her lips colored, she was using red ochre. She used it as a blush too. She also had a nail polish! She used henna, a natural product.
